The idea with this application is to help with the tedious task of learning the scales you need to improvise in rock/jazz/fusion, but without the need for memorizing all the scales modes at one time.

Understanding the scales that makes up the music will give you a tremendous advantage when it comes to understand improvisation, chord relations etc. Learn the scales and improve your guitar playing for life.

There is no magic to this - I will just show you how to relate the different modes to a few base scales. By doing so we reduce playing the SuperLocrian to playing the Melodic Minor and Lydian to the Major scale, but in a different key.

Whenever a mode can be reduced to a base scale, the base scales name will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. See the screen shots.

Each scale/mode will have an information page, discussing the sound and what chords that are suitable.

The base scales included are Major, Pentatonic Minor, Melodic Minor, Harmonic Minor and Diminished.

The Major modes included are Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian and Locrian.

The modes from Melodic Minor are Dorian b2, Lydian Augmented, Lydian Dominant, Mixolydian b6, Locrian #2, SuperLocrian/Altered.

The modes from Harmonic Minor are Locrian natural 6, Major #5, Dorian #4, Phrygian Dominant, Lydian #2, Altered b7.
Pentatonic Minor can be superimposed. These modes are named after the scale step they begin on.

Missing a scale? Send me the build, name, some info and I might just add it.
